Stocks of wild salmon returning to their native rivers are drastically on the decline, especially the spring component of the runs, which arguably are the most vital of all. The time of standing back and doing nothing is over as it will soon be too late to do anything about it.
The deadline for signing Ian Gordon's petition to stop the netting of wild Atlantic Salmon until the 1st July will soon be upon us and a final push is underway to try and gain enough support to make the Scottish Government take notice that this practice can no longer continue. The petition has been well supported but the more names added the better. Every little helps as they say!
